I-9 Updates
As an employer, you have a duty to ensure that every new employee completes a Form I-9 to demonstrate their ability to be employed in the United States. The U.S. Citizen and Immigration Services has issued a new Form I-9, effective September 1, 2009. You don't have to change forms if you are using the form released in February 2009 but it is advisable to used the newest form to prevent confusion at a later date.
