BCBS Radiology Quality Initiative On March 1, 2010, Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Nebraska (BCBSNE) will implement a Radiology Quality Initiative to improve adherence to evidence-based guidelines, enhance patient safety and control cost trends for our members and groups. We have selected American Imaging Management (AIM), as our partner in delivering this program.

The program will require authorization of non-emergent outpatient diagnostic imaging services including the following modalities:

Computed Tomography (CT) / Computed Tomography Angiography (CTA)

Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) / Magnetic Resonance Angiography (MRA)

Nuclear Cardiology

Positron Emission Tomography (PET) Scans

To introduce the program and provide an overview of the program components, we invite you to attend an overview session on Thursday, December 3 from 1-3 p.m.

This session is intended for office administrators, medical directors and managed care staff.

There are two options to participate: in person at the Omaha BCBSNE offices (located at 7261 Mercy Road) or via webinar.

If you plan to attend the in-person meeting, please e-mail your RSVP to Jackie Couron at jackie.couron@bcbsne.com for further details.
